The Preamp:
The FET preamp incorporates all discrete Class A FET input stage with no negative feedback and is designed to bring out the best in the RT. The FET is hand-graded for optimum performance and every component is selected for its sound quality. The EQ features the same exclusive Quasi Passive EQ circuitry found in our Para Acoustic D.I.™ QPEQ has no components in the series signal path to interfere with the purity of the signal. We feel it is the best EQ available at any price.

It also has everything that it takes to just plug into a studio board and make pro-quality recordings. The Microphone: The Duet II mic is a high quality, omni-directional, FET condenser capsule encased in a small block of acoustically transparent foam. It mounts easily on the back of the inside of the guitar with Velcro®. It is designed to use the entire back surface of the guitar as a "pressure zone." This minimizes the effect of standing waves and hot spots inside of the guitar. Consequently, the sound is closer to that of an outside microphone than with other internal mic placements. This location also gives increased protection against feedback.

The Electronics: Under the hood, the Duet II contains numerous circuit advances. For example, it employs all discrete Class A low noise circuitry, with no negative feedback in the mic, pickup and mixing stages for the most sweet and transparent sound possible. Every component is selected for its sound quality. The original EQ curve has been duplicated with the same exclusive Quasi Passive EQ ™ circuitry found in our Para Acoustic D.I . ™ . With QPEQ there are no components in the series signal path of the EQ to interfere with the purity of the signal. We feel it is the most transparent EQ available at any price.

Mix and stereo outputs are now available on the strapjack. Use it as before with a standard mono cord and get a great mix. With a stereo "Y" cord plugged in, a special sensing circuit automatically disables the mono mix and splits the mic and pickup into stereo.

The Micro EQ system is a tiny onboard mounted acoustic guitar amplification system. It combines the Ribbon Transducer™ and an innovative preamp/equalizer to set a new standard of performance per dollar. The Micro EQ has "only" bass and treble controls, but it also has a built-in "pre-contour". The controls interact with this pre-contour for a tone shaping flexibility that exceeds its humble two knobs. The great sound of the RT combined with the simplicity of the EQ makes for an ideal performing system.

Every component is selected for its sound quality and each FET is hand-graded for optimum performance. We have also applied a rigorous minimalist approach to the design. In fact, there is only one FET and one bi-polar transistor in the entire signal path! The resulting sound is about as pure and quiet as that of a wire.

The EQ features our exclusive " Quasi Passive EQ " circuitry which has no EQ components in the series signal path . QPEQ works in parallel with the main signal, and because of this, we feel it is the most transparent and unobtrusive EQ available at any price. Another exclusive feature of this EQ is our Noiseless Treble Boost circuitry. This LR Baggs innovation allows the full use of the 12 dB treble boost without adding any perceptible noise!
