Released in Australia SoonTraynor Custom Valve 20 answers the need for guitar players looking for superior sounding all-tube tone in a smaller, yet still feature loaded, lower powered, more manageable amplifier package. The Traynor Custom Valve 20 is perfect for the studio or for any gig where 15 tube watts is more than enough power, but full functionality is required. Unlike competitive amplifiers in this class, the YCV20 offers the discriminating player two discrete footswitchable channels with true independent gain and volume controls on each. A master three band EQ, effects loop (line output) as well as an internal spring reverb are all standard equipment. Additional controls include bright switch on the clean channel and boost switch on the lead channel. The Traynor Custom Valve 20 ensures clean quiet operation by borrowing the same DC Filament and regulated power supply design as used in its big brothers, the Custom Valve 40 and Custom Valve ''80s. The YCV20 is a ''Class A'' power amplifier is driven by three Sovtek 12AX7A''s and two EL84''s.
The internal gadgetry in this channel switching amp provides good flexibility, but makes it very easy to get a great tone. We challenge you to compare us to the competition. You will love the tone and instantly recognize the value of this amp.

The first guitar amp for the new generation of Traynors is the Custom Valve 40 (YCV40). Real tube overdrive is provided by three Sovtek 12AX7WA dual triode preamp tubes while real tube power is provided by two Sovtek 5881WXT beam power tubes. The internal gadgetry in this channel switching amp provides good flexibility, but makes it very easy to get a great tone. The combination of the tube power and the Celestion™ Red Label speaker is magical. The three basic tones (clean, crunch and overdrive) are easily defined. With great tone at low levels, and shine and punch at full tilt, the Custom Valve 40 is already receiving rave reviews. We challenge you to compare us to the competition. You'll love the tone and instantly recognize the value.Although signal-to-noise is not normally a specification that is discussed where guitar amplifiers are concerned, the ultra-quiet Custom Valve 40 makes it an issue. Experienced professional users will appreciate the auto-matching tube circuit that maintains bias balance as tubes age ensuring hum free performance. Also, the DC filaments on the preamp tubes that all but eliminate hum. Listen carefully. Although the YCV40 has a tremendous amount of gain it remains virtually hum free.

With the Custom Valve 40 already getting rave reviews in the all-tube combo amp market, Traynor has responded to the demand by expanding the Custom Valve guitar amp line with the addition of the 2x12” Celestion™ loaded combo Custom Valve 80 (YCV80).Traynor's new DynaSound direct output makes the amp sound much more like a mic'd cabinet for recording. DynaSound speaker simulation is on both the XLR direct line output and the stereo headphone for a more authentic headphone tone. A speaker defeat switch is provided for silent practice or silent direct recording.
A parallel effects loop with separate input and output trim pots for better overall effects control and a series effects loop (or loop through) between the tube pre-amp and tube power stage give the performer more flexibility over the signal path than found on other amplifiers.

With the Custom Valve 40 already getting rave reviews in the all-tube combo amp market, Traynor has responded to the demand by expanding the Custom Valve guitar amp line with the addition of the 4x10” Celestion™ loaded Custom Valve 80Q (YCV80Q) combo. Two new tone-shaping controls give players unprecedented tonal variety for nearly any vintage tube tone. A 'Scoop' switch on the lead channel adds body for much heavier leads while the 'Expander' switch equalizes certain frequencies on the clean channel to create crystal clear new rhythm sounds – often simulating an acoustic-like tone from an electric guitar.
Traynor's new DynaSound direct output makes the amp sound much more like a mic'd cabinet for recording. DynaSound speaker simulation is on both the XLR direct line output and the stereo headphone for a more authentic headphone tone. A speaker defeat switch is provided for silent practice or silent direct recording.
