G&L’s founder, Leo Fender, spent the last decade of his life lavishing all the knowledge and wisdom he had acquired over the years on the creation of his beloved G&L instruments. He considered the G&L guitars and basses the masterpieces of his lifetime of creativity. Leo worked in his private laboratory at the G&L factory in Fullerton, California, until the very last day of his life and he would not have wanted it any other way. While G&L’s unique and highly desirable instruments continue to be hand-made in the historic Fender Avenue factory, they are not accessible to many musicians.
Tribute sets a dramatic new standard in the popular price range by bringing unique G&L features and standardized CNC quality together in a surprisingly affordable line of guitars and basses.
